Ex-Michigan football coach scheduled to appear in court: Live updates

Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, more than a month after he was charged with felony home invasion and stalking.

Moore has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Moore was fired as the Wolverines’ head coach on Dec. 10 after it was revealed that he had an inappropriate relationship with a program staff member. Hours after he was fired, he was arrested when he allegedly went inside the house of the staffer and blamed her for him losing his job. According to authorities, Moore grabbed butter knives and kitchen scissors in the woman’s home and threatened to kill himself, saying, ‘My blood is on your hands.’

Moore appeared for an arraignment on Dec. 12, when he was released on $25,000 bond. He was required to wear a tracking device and continue mental health treatment.

Thursday’s hearing in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is expected to provide an update on the case and possibly set up another hearing to determine if there’s enough evidence for trial on the felony charge.
