What did Kai Trump shoot in LPGA debut at The Annika?

Amateur Kai Trump shot a 13-over 83 on Thursday, Nov. 13, in the first round of The Annika, her first LPGA tournament.

She went into the round fresh off signing a letter of intent at the University of Miami, where she will play next year. Kai Trump is the oldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his former wife, Vanessa, and spoke on her grandfather’s behalf at the Republican National Convention last year.

Trump had four consecutive bogeys to start the round, going off No. 10 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. She then had three pars in the final five holes on the back nine for a 41 at the turn. Trump’s had three bogeys and a pair of double-bogeys on her second nine. In last place at 108th overall, she will likely miss the 60-player 36-hole cut.

‘I’m going to learn a lot no matter what happens,’ Kai Trump said earlier this week, according to the Palm Beach Post. ‘I’m going to take a lot away from it. To be inside the ropes with them playing with (the best players), learning what kind of shots they hit, what do they do on the course.’
